Grace & Assurance
28-31 Jul 2014

  • Intro

The question of whether certainty of ultimate salvation is possible in this life has been a major issue both for the Church and for Christians at various times. Regardless of what our personal opinions are, the topic deserves close study. What is the basis of our assurance? How does it relate to faith and God's grace? Knowing this will not only help us to be strengthened and fruitful in ministry, but to also know the depth of God's love for us in Christ.

Thinking Theologically Conference 2014 is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to drink deeply from the Scriptures and be wonderfully refreshed by the truth.

Christians from universities and in the marketplace have benefitted from spending their Raya holidays working on knowing God via the seminars, group work, thought-provoking electives and main talks.

Why should you come to this year's TTC? Here's what our speaker, Rev Dr David Peterson has to say:

Christian assurance is an important topic to investigate. There are many reasons why Christians can doubt their relationship with God, doubt that they are forgiven or doubt that they have eternal life. Doubt is crippling, but assurance is empowering. When people are certain of God’s grace to them in these different ways they find a new zeal to love and serve him.

TTC is going to be a great time of being with other Christians and growing together in Christ.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

    1 Peter 1:3-5
