God’s Design for Women 23-24 Aug 2024
Devoted is the conference for all Klang Valley Christian women who desire to commit to Christ’s ministry.
Being devoted to Jesus in service is what all Christian women are called to, but why? And how? Many of us may have different ideas of what this looks like. We may also have various presuppositions of what being feminine means in the 21st century, and either react too strongly against the opinions of our time or are completely persuaded by what the world has to say about sex, gender roles, women’s rights, and the lot.
In other words, there is no better time than now to go back to our creator God’s good design for women that will determine the shape of our service to him.

Dr. Sharon James
Dr. Sharon has written many books on womanhood and gender that have helped so many women discover their true identity according to God’s good design.
She studied history at Cambridge University and taught it in several schools in both England and Malawi. Together with her husband, Bill, she studied at Toronto Baptist Seminary for three years and attained a Master of Divinity. When they returned to the UK, Bill became pastor of Emmanuel Evangelical Church, Leamington Spa, for 26 years while she set up a women’s ministry team at Emmanuel, and then helped establish the FIEC women’s ministry team. During these years she wrote several books and travelled widely as a conference speaker to Europe, the Middle East, North America and Asia.
Dr. Sharon then completed her PhD in government family policy (Spurgeon’s College London and The University of Wales). She served as a spokesperson for The Coalition for Marriage (2012-2014) before taking on the role of Social Policy Analyst with The Christian Institute (2014 to the present). Bill is now the principal of London Seminary and they have two grown-up children along with six grandchildren.
