Numbers, Job 30-31 May 2025
The Gospel Growth Fellowship invites you to read, study, and be taught by the Bible at Word Works this May on your choice of Numbers (Part 1) or Job! Word Works is a 2-day Bible workshop, run by seminary-trained teachers, and designed to help Christians learn how to read the Bible better, and appreciate the beauty and wisdom of God’s Word. We believe every Christian ought to make the effort to be equipped to read the Bible faithfully, in order to minister to fellow saints and lead them to maturity in Christ (Eph 4:11-16).
Our aim is to equip you with Bible-reading skills, e.g. structuring, identifying themes, reading in context, following the author’s flow, analysing the author’s main arguments, and applying the text theologically – so that you will be ready to interpret and apply the Bible faithfully for the building up of God's people at your respective churches.
Come join us, and let the Word Work on you!
Pr. Jerome Leng

As a young man, Jerome Leng started his university days at the International Medical University (IMU) with ambitious dreams of becoming a doctor to help those in need. However, when he discovered what the gospel demanded of his life, his life changed forever. He gave up his pursuit of becoming a doctor and decided to pursue full-time paid ministry.
Jerome took on a Ministry Training Strategy program and then went on to seminary. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Divinity in Biblical and Theological Studies from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, USA. He was also the recipient of the seminary’s prestigious Clyde T. Francisco Preaching Award in 2018.
He returned to Malaysia in December 2019 to be a minister of God in his homeland and is now a Pastor-in-Training as well as the youth pastor of a local church. Jerome is happily married to Robyn and they have a son, Emmett.
Pr. Vanessa Ong

- Pastor for Women, Children, Youth, and Tertiary students
- Bachelor of Divinity (Moore Theological College)
- Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) (Sunway University)
Vanessa loves immersing herself in God's word and asking Him questions as she studies His thoughts. She knows first-hand how good it is to learn where her mind, life, and ministry need to be urgently changed by God's perspective.
Her ministry experience began when she excitedly stumbled her way through the gospel presentation "Two Ways to Live" as a student leader in 2007 when she led her own little chapel class. She is grateful for willing brothers and sisters whom she has had a chance to "practice on" as an enthusiastic but very new Christian, and to our Lord Jesus who graciously brought her into His fold.
