    Making Decisions That Truly Matter

Every one of us will make decisions about work, study, and the direction of our lives. These decisions will shape how we spend our time, how we use our gifts, and ultimately what our lives will stand for.

But the question Christians must ask is not simply “What career should I pursue?” The deeper question is: what do I truly value?

The world constantly tells us how to measure value. It tells us that worth is found in money, stability, status, achievements, influence, popularity, or recognition. Over time, these measures quietly shape how we think about success and even how we make life decisions.

Yet the Gospel challenges us with a different vision of value.

Jesus teaches us that our lives are not defined by what we gain, but by whom we belong to. The Gospel calls us to value God and His kingdom above everything else, and to allow that value to shape the choices we make about our work and our future.

This is why Christian Careers Day exists.

Christian Careers Day is a space where believers can pause and think carefully about the decisions that shape their working lives. It is an opportunity to examine our ambitions, motivations, and fears in the light of the Gospel and to ask how we might live and work in ways that truly honour Christ.

Throughout the day, there will be two main talks exploring the theme of Value, helping us reflect on what Scripture teaches about worth, work, and calling.

Alongside these talks, more than 100 workshop leaders from different professions and vocations will be present to share their experience, offer counsel, and help participants think through real-life decisions.

Whether you are a student choosing a course, a graduate starting your career, or someone rethinking the direction of your work, Christian Careers Day provides a rare opportunity to seek guidance from Christians who have wrestled with the same questions and want to help you make decisions that honour Christ.

This is not about choosing the most impressive career. It is about learning to value God and His Gospel above everything else.

And when that value becomes clear, the decisions we make begin to change.

Come and take time to think, listen, ask questions, and seek wisdom.

Join us at Christian Careers Day and learn how to make decisions that truly matter before God.

  • Speakers

    Mr. Bolwin Su

    Bolwin Su

    • Digital Solutions Senior Engineer, Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
    • Advanced Dynamic Simulation Engineer, ExxonMobil
    • Process Engineer, Germanischer Lloyd
    • Master’s in Chemical Engineering, The University of Nottingham
    • Father of one
    • Heads of various ministries

With over 14 years of experience in the oil & gas and petrochemical industries, his work focuses on helping companies use advanced engineering software to design and operate their assets safely and effectively.

His career sits at the intersection of deep technical expertise and people—bringing together complex engineering knowledge with the ability to guide, align, and work with others. He enjoys both exploring new technologies and building meaningful relationships.

But if you ask him, his career is not the most important thing about his life.

Outside of work, Bolwin spends much of his time serving in church, leading ministries, guiding others to read the Bible, and helping Christians think about how to live for God in the real world. He is passionate about helping people use their time, skills, and ambitions for something that is of eternal value.

As someone who has spent years building a career, navigating expectations, and now raising a young family, Bolwin understands the pressure to “make something” of your life. But he has come to see that the real question is not just what you value in life—but Who your life is of value to.

At CCD 2026, he will be speaking on “Value”—and why the way we measure success might need to change.

    Mr. Wong Jia Jun

Jia Jun spent his entire life learning to measure value. From pricing delicious food tapau-ed by family members, to doing financial analysis for prospective multi-billion ringgit projects in Gamuda Land, he's gained plenty of experience telling apart whether anything is its money's worth. It helps that he grew up in KL, went to Chinese school, had grandparents who came from Penang Island, and has learnt the value of God's gospel!
