Christian Careers Day: Passion 23 Mar 2019
What are we passionate about in this life? Who are we really working for? Is our calling consistent with the call of God?
Our tagline, ‘working for Jesus’, describes for us that in life we must always be constantly challenged on whether or not our trajectory is actually fitting God’s plans and purposes for His Kingdom in His Son. Are we heading towards the right direction? Or have we unwittingly fallen for worldly desires?
This year Dr. Elden Pan will be considering the theme of ‘Passion’, after which we’ll split into our selected workshops led by experienced Christian hosts from various professions to help us consider how we can best glorify Christ with our future. Come all young and old, even if you already have a job so as to consider carefully the potential for further thinking. But if you’re a fresh graduate or still in the midst of deciding on your future career, CCD is PERFECTLY designed for you!
Dr. Elden Pan
Elden Pan graduated as a doctor from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland and worked at the National University of Malaysia Hospital (HUKM Cheras). During his student days, however, he became woke for the gospel at GGF’s Fellow Workers’ Conference and realized the importance of and need for full-time paid ministers. Hence, he decided to take on a church ministry apprenticeship after 2.5 years of working as a doctor. He also plans to receive further education at a theological seminary eventually, so that he can be sufficiently equipped to serve his local church in Malaysia in a full-time paid capacity.
