The Gospel and Orthodoxy and Evangelicalism
29-31 Jan 2026

#FWC2026 #OrthodoxyAndEvangelicalism
  • Intro

It is essential to cultivate minds fired up by the grace of our Creator and Saviour so that we might think well and rightly about our good and great God, and live strongly in and for His light.

Regrettably, “Orthodoxy” sounds “old”, “obsolete”, and “irrelevant” in this day and age. But the truth is exactly the opposite: Orthodoxy represents time-tested pillars of the Christian faith that are enduring, ever-important, and are in fact more relevant than ever in today’s climate, where the gospel and God’s church are constantly besieged by every wind and doctrine of the world. Orthodoxy, in turn, cannot be disconnected from the origin and rightful authority of the Christian faith: the gospel as revealed by the Prophets and the Law, as taught by Jesus Christ, and as recorded by the Bible. What is called “Evangelicalism” is simply a conviction of such a gospel.

Orthodoxy and Evangelicalism are key for Christians to understand who we are and how we are to live. Join fellow workers at FWC 2026, where Dr. Bradley Green will guide us to engage with key thinkers, issues and doctrinal developments in history that have shaped the church, while Rev. Robin Gan provides insight on how Christianity in the local Malaysian church has developed.
