Thankful for Christian Careers Day 2021
This year, Christian Careers Day was held virtually on Labour Day (May 1) once again, drawing more than 650 participants from a wide diversity of backgrounds: high schoolers, university students, and even full-time working professionals.
The theme for CCD 2021 was "Work is tough. Christianity makes you tougher." It was very encouraging to see so many join in and learn from our two speakers, Ms. Winnie Lai and Mr. David Kuok, on how to make God-glorifying decisions amidst the difficult intense pressures at work and how to persevere in the gospel no matter how tough work gets.
After the talks, our participants had an abundance of over 50 workshops to choose from, our largest selection of workshops ever! CCD covered various industries such as engineering, the arts, health sciences, entrepreneurship and many more. At these workshops, our participants had the opportunity to learn from industry-experienced and mature Christians about the nature of their jobs and how to thrive as Christians in their respective industries.
The Fellowship thanks God for still being able to run CCD virtually amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and looks forward to CCD 2022: Don't Waste Your Life, which will hopefully be run physically. Until then, do continue to keep us and all the CCD participants in prayer, that we may persevere as Christians throughout the hurdles we face in making wise decisions about work and in the workplace.
